Laser Acupuncture Therapy
Over the last 40 years much research and experience in the medical field has shown that low power laser light can have very powerful healing properties.
How the laser works?
The laser emits photons which are light energy pockets. These photons that are emitted from low powered lasers (LPL) cannot burn or heat tissue. They are called ‘soft’ or ‘cold’ lasers. Scientific research had shown that the photons emitted from LPL’s induce biochemical reactions towards healing in the body.
The laser is placed over acupuncture points on the body and used, as needles are used in traditional acupuncture, to activate the acupuncture points for regulating Qi (energy flow throughout the body, by creating free flow of Qi through the meridian channels.
Laser acupuncture provides the art of acupuncture coupled with laser technology for side-effect free treatment that is endorsed as a first line of treatment for many conditions.
What can Laser Acupuncture do for you?
Laser
acupuncture is used to treat many conditions above what is mentioned below. It
can be used for wound healing, pain relief, nerve injuries, soft tissue
injuries, lymph oedema, skin conditions
Is Laser Acupuncture safe?
The Laser used in Laser acupuncture is a low frequency laser that has no heating effect and therefore cannot burn or heat tissues. This frequency is sufficient to induce biochemical reactions necessary to promote optimal function of tissues and internal organs in the body.
“In fact laser is so safe that, apart from directly applying it over the eyes, it can always be tried as a first line of treatment” – South African Integrated Medicine Association (SAIMA)
